"I do understand right now in my state of mind that shooting at the judiciary is not the proper form of political redress," Darren Mack said.

Linky and context:

LAS VEGAS -- Wealthy pawnshop owner Darren Mack gave up his 17-month legal battle on Monday, the day his defense team was poised to begin his case, and pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing his estranged wife, Charla, in June 2006.

Mack also entered a conditional guilty plea in the sniper-style shooting of their divorce judge, Chuck Weller.

I know someone who knows someone who knows someone who last year on his anniversary came up behind his wife (who thought he was giving her a hug) and slit her throat. Freakishly, she survived, but the angle cut her tongue out, and while they reattached it, she has years of therapy ahead to learn to speak properly, etc.

He's whining that he was "drunk" and "distraught" because she'd asked for a divorce. And whoops, he made a mistake, heh-heh, won't she forgive him?

Lovely.
