|05:28 pm - Methods in Education for the New Century|
Have you ever wondered what the universities are doing to stay hip with the new economy? Today, I learned a new one.
The conversation went something like this:
Me: "No, Charlie can't make it. He had to go to prison today."
My boss: "Um ... nothing serious, I hope!"
Me: "No, no, he's doing his internship there for school."
Our HR Director: "School? What kind of school has internships at the PRISON?"
My boss (with a totally straight face): "It's required for the MBA program now. You know, because of Enron and MCI."
Our HR Director: "Oh yeah. Makes sense."
So now you know. Remember: give generously to the alumni fund. The child you send to prison could be your own.
So, I'm assuming it's one of the Club Med big houses, then?
No, actually, it's max security. Charlie is a Social Work major, doing counselling, group work, discharge planning, etc in the mental health section of the prison.
I just thought the MBA thing was funny. :-)
Ain't I the swift one? *snort*

Well, ya know, those MBAs always wind up there... ;)
I love it!
My brother is a business major at St. Joe's...I should find out if he's going to do some interning..."time".
I can just see you doing that with a straight face. You are evil, ya know. :P

Make sure Charlie has a good comment for them next time he visits. :D
