|06:42 pm - Interlude: Dad's Epiphany|
When I took the BeliefNet Belief-O-Matic test, for some odd reason, Sikhism came out on top. I mentioned it that evening when talking to my dad about various subjects such as my parents having had their marriage annulled, and how, since the marriage "never happened," wouldn't that make me illegitimate?
Of course, as a sort of a side note (whose importance will become known shortly), it's well known that Charlie's father was career Navy, where his job was generally cooking for the crew of nuclear submarines.
My dad says, "Oh that figures. I'm living with a Sikh bastard and a son of a sea cook."
I can NOT make these things up.
(The above ganked from a comment I made in someone else's LJ.)
I just took that quiz (I have taken it before). I'm 100% Secular Humanist! ... I looked for my Sikh result:
1. Secular Humanism (100%)
2. Unitarian Universalism (92%)
3. Nontheist (88%)
4. Liberal Quakers (71%)
5. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (66%)
6. Theravada Buddhism (65%)
7. Neo-Pagan (64%)
8. Reform Judaism (58%)
9. Taoism (49%)
10. Sikhism (44%)
By the way, they have a typo in question 15.
"15. Roles for women and men should be prescribed."
They mean proscribed.
Picky, picky ...
