|03:51 pm - So you gotta be starting something ...|
Years ago, in the early days of the Internet, I had some web pages that today would have been known as a blog. There, I kept track of various things such as what I was working on, what I was up to, random commentary about various and sundry things -- basically your normal bloggish stuff.
I got the oddest email from people coming from those pages sometimes, but I'll never forget one. The fellow asked something like, "Why are you putting all this personal stuff out there? I mean, who wants to read this kind of stuff about a stranger?"
He went on to describe, in a fair amount of detail, what he thought of almost every one of my proto-blog pages, which, when it was all said and done, rather indicated to me that he was pretty well versed with the site and my rantings in general.
When I replied, "Well, it's mostly intended for my friends and family, but I can't help but notice that you read it," I never heard from him again.
After awhile, what with dot com booms and busts and one thing or another, I stopped working on my journal, and it fell by the wayside. After a time, I found message boards to post on, so at least I had some communication going, but my friends keep nagging me to start a blog.
I've started a blog.
I hope you're all happy now.
Now friend me!!!!!!
Hi, Mrs. V! Welcome to this little corner of the internet universe. It's a nice neighborhood, except for that weird lady on the corner with all of the cats and the giant telescope. You might want to keep your blinds closed.
Um ... heyyyyy ... wait a minute ...
*I'm* the lady on the corner with all the cats and the telescope!
Whatchoo talkin' bout, zootnarf?
You really shouldn't make fun of MrsV on her own blog, Zoot. That's just mean.
Hiya!!! :D I'm VERY Happy you are here. Now I can bore you to tears with pointless information about myself that you don't really want to know. Bwhahahahahahahaha!!!
I love the smell of brain cells frying in the morning.
:P *HUGS* Welcome, sweetie.
