I got the oddest email from people coming from those pages sometimes, but I'll never forget one. The fellow asked something like, "Why are you putting all this personal stuff out there? I mean, who wants to read this kind of stuff about a stranger?"
He went on to describe, in a fair amount of detail, what he thought of almost every one of my proto-blog pages, which, when it was all said and done, rather indicated to me that he was pretty well versed with the site and my rantings in general.
When I replied, "Well, it's mostly intended for my friends and family, but I can't help but notice that you read it," I never heard from him again.
After awhile, what with dot com booms and busts and one thing or another, I stopped working on my journal, and it fell by the wayside. After a time, I found message boards to post on, so at least I had some communication going, but my friends keep nagging me to start a blog.
I've started a blog.
I hope you're all happy now.
